Sauteed Dates by Renee Erickson

The heat here caramelizes the sugar in the dates. The oil and salt make for a wonderful combination with the sweet.

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Dates
  • Kosher or Sea Salt
  1. Heat the olive oil in a saute or frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fill the pan with dates and cook turning a few times until they warm through. Try not to burn them.  Remove to a plate.
  3. Dress with kosher salt and serve while warm.
