Sauteed Dates by Renee Erickson
The heat here caramelizes the sugar in the dates. The oil and salt make for a wonderful combination with the sweet.
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Kosher or Sea Salt
- Heat the olive oil in a saute or frying pan over medium heat.
- Fill the pan with dates and cook turning a few times until they warm through. Try not to burn them. Remove to a plate.
- Dress with kosher salt and serve while warm.
